Who we're looking for Our ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of relevant experience, with a background in both Human Resources and Finance/Accounting.
It's important to have experience managing projects, working with 3rd party payroll/accounting vendors, and developing policies and procedures.
In addition, this position will work on-site at our office, so candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Winterville, NC.
Key Human Resources Responsibilities Benefits - Work with broker and benefits vendors on benefits plan design to ensure we are providing a quality and cost effective benefits program.
Conduct new hire and open enrollment as well as ongoing benefits administration.
New hire onboarding - Develop and execute an engaging orientation and onboarding program.
Ensure new hire processes are completed and training plans are followed.
Employment law - Review company policies regularly, staying up to date on legal and market developments, and making changes where needed.
Create, communicate, and implement new policies and programs as needed.
Manage processes such as unemployment, investigations, and performance management.
Talent Acquisition - Recruit for a variety of technical and non-technical roles, including job postings, initial interviews, and preparing job offers.
Review and edit job descriptions and company recruiting materials as needed.
Key Financial Responsibilities Compensation and Payroll - Manage relationship with 3rd party payroll vendor and perform all necessary payroll tasks.
Consistently review payroll and compensation data for accuracy.
Serve as the primary point of contact for questions related to pay, deductions, and PTO.
Accounting - Manage relationship with 3rd party accounting vendor and sales tax onboarding.
Work with government agencies to set up registration in new states, taxes, and related tasks.
Management - Supervise the billing specialist, providing training, guidance, and support to this position.
Manage relationships with office vendors and solicit new vendors as needed.
Community partnerships - Evaluate potential sponsorships and membership in community organizations, participating in related events as needed.
